Our Community Foundation Fund was established in 2001.


To provide annual scholarships for students pursuing a communications, marketing, public relations or related degree at The University of Toledo or Bowling Green State University (or another accredited university or college in Ohio or Michigan) who will be full-time (as defined by the institution) college undergraduate or graduate students. Scholarship recipients may re-apply in subsequent years. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

It is anticipated that at least two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in early May. Finalists may be interviewed. Recipients will be introduced at AAF Toledo/Advertising Club of Toledo’s luncheon program on Wednesday, June 15 at The Premier on Heatherdowns Blvd.

The criteria used for selection of scholarship recipients include consideration of the following:

a. Scholastic aptitude and prior academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or above);

b. Individual motivation, ability and potential;

c. Letters of Recommendation;

d. Intent to pursue a degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related degree;

e. Extra curricular activities such as clubs, internships, work/study programs (required attachment);

f. Interest in pursuing your professional career in the greater Toledo area.
