Fall is here! I know you summer people are upset about this, but I say bring on the Pumpkin Spice and sweaters. As the seasons change, so does our club! If you’re reading this, you’ve probably noticed this isn’t a newsletter. In an effort to make the content more digestible, we’ve decided to forgo our lengthy monthly newsletter. Instead, we’ll be pushing content to you specifically by event/topic. Our President (in this case, me) will still be sending out a monthly letter to keep membership (in this case, you) informed.
We ended summer on a high note with The Pitch. On Sept 26th, MadAve Marketing Group graciously hosted us in their beautiful space and provided a top-shelf open bar and all the Pizza Cat you could eat. If you weren’t there, you should be sad because it was amazing. Our Committee Chairs got the opportunity to present to (and entertain) everyone in an effort to encourage member involvement. If you couldn’t make it but you’re still interested in becoming involved on one of our committees, we’d love to have you! Please reach out to Darcie Lynch.
We have some great events coming up this Fall and Winter, and I’d love to see you all there!
Our education committee is always brainstorming ways to get advertising students involved and help keep talent here in Toledo. On November 9th, they will be putting on our annual Internship Event. This is a collaborative effort by us, Press Club of Toledo and PRSA Northwest Ohio. Each year, it brings together students, professionals and prospective employers for a unique networking and educational experience. We’ve just announced our panelists and we still have several sponsorship and recruiter opportunities available For more information, visit our the Internship Event page.
In preparation for the holidays,on November 21st, AAF Toledo will “Eat, Drink and Be Thankful” at Our Favorite Things. We’re currently securing your favorite local retailers to showcase the season’s hottest gift ideas. This holiday-themed luncheon features live entertainment, raffles, goodie bags a cash bar, and a partridge in a pear tree. (Maybe don’t hold me to that last one). For more information visit our events page. To recommend a vendor, contact Darcie via firstname.lastname@example.org or DM us on our social channels.
