Toledo Community Foundation Announces Recipients of the 2019 Ad Club Scholarship

June 24, 2019 – The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce three recipients of the Advertising Club of Toledo / AAF Toledo Scholarship: Tiara Medley, Parris Hurt and Donte Dixon.

Ms. Tiara Medley recently graduated from Woodward High School where she was first in her class with a cumulative GPA of 4.5. She plans to attend Eastern Michigan University where she will be majoring in Media Communications.

Ms. Parris Hurt recently graduated from Maumee High School with a cumulative GPA of 3.8. She plans to attend The University of Toledo where she will be majoring in Business with a minor in Marketing.

Mr. Donte Dixon recently graduated from Northwood High School where he was ranked 14th in his class with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. He will be majoring in Communications & Broadcasting at an as yet undecided local college.

This scholarship was established by the Advertising Club of Toledo in 2001. Scholarship applicants are required to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and the intent to pursue a degree incommunications, marketing, public relations or related field.  A renewable scholarship, it is available to full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are attending a university or college in Ohio or Michigan.

The online application for the Advertising Club of Toledo / AAF Toledo Scholarship is available on Toledo Community Foundation’s website, www.toledocf.org, after November 1. Applications are due February 1. Scholarship awards are announced in May.
